Pre-School
Skidaway Island Preschool is dedicated to Christian education
and development. The primary purpose of the Preschool is to
provide a loving and nurturing atmosphere in which each child
feels secure and special. Each child is provided with the
foundation needed to build a healthy self-concept which enables
the child to learn and grow in the world around him.
The children are involved in activities that help develop in
emotional, intellectual, spiritual, physical and social growth.
Classroom tasks are child-centered, hands on activities as well
as teacher-led school readiness curriculum. The children have
plenty of time to explore classroom centers at their own pace.
The children also spend time in group situations at circle time,
story time, singing, science experiments, and cooking.
Classes are offered for two, three or five days per week to
children ages one through four by September 1 of the school
year. The preschool hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Extended stay at "Lunch Bunch" is available on Tuesday,
Wednesday and Thursdays in which three and four year old
children can remain at school until 2 p.m.
Small class sizes and teacher/student ratio help to provide a
loving and nurturing environment. Our teachers get to know our
students and their families. Even the most reluctant children
tend to feel at ease quickly.
You are welcome to come by and visit our preschool. For more
information about the Preschool, please call Pat Goodday, the
Director at 598-0151.
